Get You Moving
And Keep You Moving

We meet you at your point of need. We take the time to understand what you want to accomplish, big or small. Then we aim to uncover the barriers and obstacles, which often include pain and weakness, and even fear and apprehension. After identifying these underlying issues, we put together a plan and outline the steps we need to take together. Along the way, we educate, encourage, and empower you to build strength, gain confidence, enhance resiliency, and ultimately accomplish the goal we set out to achieve.

BILL MERITT PT

FOUNDER
Certified in Dry Needling
Fellow, American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists

Bill received his Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Taylor University (2001) and Master’s in Physical Therapy from the University of North Carolina (2003). He has an expertise in orthopedic and musculoskeletal injuries, manual therapy including joint and spine manipulation, dry needling, running and lifting injuries, and complex patient cases (aka: lost causes).

He believes in practicing what he preaches and currently stays active through strength training – picking up and putting down heavy things – as well as dabbling in rucking and running.

He feels passionate about teaching other physical therapists via continuing education throughout the year. Bill believes in using manual therapy for quick relief of symptoms and improving client comfort and confidence in the weight room to empower clients to complete a task they never thought they could do.

Bill was a two-time Academic All-American on the gridiron, fighting through shoulder surgery and rehab to return to the field. This experience was life-changing and ultimately redirected his career path to be part of other people’s healing process.

Beyond his life as a PT, Bill loves strength training, watching his daughters play soccer, and cheering for the Tar Heels, Vikings, and Twins – especially in-person. He recently caught the travel bug and visited Scandinavia to watch his oldest daughter compete in the Gothia Cup international soccer tournament, London to see the Vikings defeat the Saints, and Maui to watch the Tar Heels compete in the Maui Invitational.

“I WAS ABLE TO HAVE AN ALL-NATURAL BIRTH (NO EPIDURAL) AS PLANNED.

Our baby boy was delivered at 9lbs 12oz and 22 inches long, and I didn’t experience any tearing! Can you believe that? I felt great the whole time and am recovering well. My midwives were shocked, they asked “did you exercise every day? I can’t believe you didn’t tear!” Plus, my active labor was only 3 contractions!”
